On the passing of Associate Editor Dr. Jon Henner

Dear members of the JCSCD community and readers of JCSCD,

We’re heartbroken to share the news that our beloved colleague and friend, Dr. Jon Henner, passed away on Monday, August 14. He was an extraordinary person and a brilliant scholar. We know that the publication of "Unsettling languages, unruly bodyminds: A crip linguistics manifesto” as the first article in the first issue of JCSCD meant a lot to him. We’re so proud to have played a part in making this important work widely accessible.

Once we learn more about the wishes of his family and ways to honor his memory, we will pass that along to you.
